Of the stores that I visited in the general vicinity, I liked this one the best. It has a little more atmosphere, I think. Brick walls and columns always add atmosphere. The staff of this store must be bridge-happy, for the walls are covered with images of the nearby George Washington Bridge. The photograph from 1932 is a great historical touch, as is the poster of the old Palisades Amusement Park. But perhaps the most the drawing of the G.W. This is a most excellent store! Admire the marvelous exterior, then go inside and try to find a spot inside the turret, a cozy little room if I do say so myself. The building used to be a gas station, and when I visited the manager was still trying to find out what is was prior to that. Notice the big wooden Starbucks sign out front--this is only the second such sign I've seen. Oh, and let me not forget to mention that Glen Rock is a community where the kids feel comfortable leaving their bicycles unlocked out front.
